våbenskjold

Skibbrogade is the old access form town to harbour.

The last building on the street is this peculiar house, which core is a smaller house from 1770 built for Jacob Asmussen. The shaping of the corner though wasn't designed until 1920.

The other side of the street terminates with the tollbooth from 1853-54. If it seems somewhat out of place, it could be because its architect(L. A. Winstrup) designed it for the Virgin Islands. Whatever the reason it ended up here.
"Skibbroen"(The Docks) in front of the tollbooth was between 1899-1920 named "Michael Jebsen Straße" after the MP and captain Michael Jebsen. We return along Skibbrogade.
