Vendersgade soon broadens to turn into Bülows Plads("Bülow's Square").

It's named after: lieutenant colonel Frederik Bülow, chief-in-command during the siege in 1849.

On the corner we just passed we find the former St. Michael's School from about 1840.

And behind it St. Michael's Church.

But the dominating building at the square is the former town hall from 1860 by Ferdinand Meldahl. Nowadays it houses the civic court.
Before that, the building on the corner of Sjællandsgade("Sealand Street"), Hans de Hofman's Yard, functioned as town hall from 1762 - just 2 years after its completion.
We continue along Vendersgade.
