våbenskjold

No. 11 carries the history of the town in its body.

First of all it was built just outside the urban jurisdiction exemplifying the distinction between town and countryside. The town had it's own laws while the street form no. 11 outwards belonged to the jurisdiction of the surrounding shire(Rise Shire). Second it was built by Marx Marxen Koch immediately after the town's fire in 1707.

An finally during the First Schleswigian a cannonball shot right through the loft without damaging the stored pottery there. The cannonball came from the ship "St. Thomas" and now rests in the exterior wall facing the street.

We finish the street with no. 3 from before 1754, built for Rasmus Hansen Brøms.
At the end we turn right along "Søndergade"(Southern Street).
