våbenskjold

The street flows unnoticed into "Klinkbjerg"(litt. Jingle Mountain ie. Springs Slope) and narrows. Until 1560 the outer end was where the gallows were placed.

The street terminates nobly at "Wollesgyde"(Wolle's Alley - Wolle was a proprietor in the area), where the street changes name to "Nygade"(New Street). No. 2 on the eastside was built by Peter Callesen for merchant M. H. Lüders in 1834-35.

The building on the other side of the street is known as Lorentzen's Mansion, although the builder in 1767 was Christopher Kellner.
We follow Nygade onwards. This street acquired its name in Medieval times when the bishop(the diocese of Slesvig) built his castle(long since demolished) to the west of the town and rerouted the high road.
