This street is named after the maritime painter(1862-1930) who spent all of his life resident in the house on the corner of Dr. Dichs Plads.
The museum for Christian Mølsted hasn't always been lying freely. Dr. Dichs Plads(named after the founder of the town's museum) is a comparatively new opening in the street created by the town to get a better connection to the next open space: Jens Eyberts Plads.
